Proposed rates are for one person using SayWordy, paid from their own or their team’s balance. Only the selected plan applies; these prices are not added together. Other meeting attendees do not need credits just to hear your translated voice.
The planned meter runs while translation is connected and enabled, including quiet time. Pause all translation to stop the meter. Muting your speaking mic alone does not pause translated listening. Shared captions and more meeting platforms are planned separately. No meeting charges are enabled today.

Are credits the same as AI tokens?
No. Credits are your prepaid SayWordy balance: one credit equals one US cent. Your call is charged at the rate you accepted, not by how many words you say or AI tokens it uses.
Why does the price change between phone numbers?
Telephone companies charge different amounts for different countries, networks and mobile or landline routes. SayWordy checks both actual numbers and shows one combined rate before the call. Your website language and IP address do not set your call price.
When does charging start?
The conversation meter starts when both people have accepted and the translation service is ready. We charge connected seconds, including fractional credits. Ringing and failed call setup do not count as conversation time.
Does the rate change while I am talking?
No. The accepted quote stays fixed for that call. Quotes have a short expiry, so a future call or changed number needs a new price check.
Can I call international numbers?
Only routes enabled for your account can be called. Initial availability is limited to supported US destinations. International rates will be shown only after the route is verified and enabled. Speaking Japanese, for example, does not require calling a Japanese phone number.
What happens when my balance runs low?
SayWordy reserves enough credits to cover the call and checks the remaining balance during the conversation. If more time cannot be funded, the call ends at the funded limit. You cannot run up an unapproved conversation balance.
Will browser and app calls use the same credits?
That is the plan. Direct browser and app calls can avoid a phone connection and its cost. These calling modes, video and meeting integrations are not currently available.
