The host signs in from the Teams side panel, starts a session, and shares the invitation.

Each attendee installs SayWordy, chooses one language to speak and hear, and joins with the host’s invitation.

The host lets each person in. Up to six people, 30 minutes per session. This Teams pilot does not use meeting credits.

Cantonese speaking is available. Cantonese listening is not available yet.

Teams transcripts are saved in the extension on your device. This Teams beta does not save audio recordings.

Meeting recordings

Recording is on by default. Only the SayWordy session host can turn it off.

Hosted beta calls record original and translated audio and transcripts for internal quality review. These recordings are stored privately, and only verified SayWordy administrators can review them. Our speech providers process the audio to transcribe and translate it.

Get everyone’s permission before starting. The host can turn off recording while translation continues. Previously saved recordings are kept.

SayWordy does not record camera video. When your camera captions are on, people viewing your meeting tile can see the translated captions and SayWordy logo.
